Self-directed Solo401k allows you to invest in almost any type of assets. Therefore, you are not limited to only stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. It is permissible to invest in real estate, residential and commercial, tax liens and deeds, mortgage notes, precious metals, private lending and much more. The only investment types that are not allowed are collectibles and S-corporation.
